High School Principal
Warren Hitz joined Kamehameha Schools in June
of 2004, coming to the Maui Campus after 32 years with the Milton
Hershey School, in Hershey, Pennsylvania. He taught agribusiness
for 16 years before entering educational administration as the
Assistant Director of Secondary Education and Director of Vocational/Technical
Education. Experiences included Curriculum Coordination, project-based
integrated learning through agricultural and environmental resources,
with his last assignment before joining KSBE as the Senior Director,
Applied and Integrated Learning.
Warren received a Bachelor of Science degree from
Delaware Valley College of Science and Agriculture, a Masters
of Education in Secondary School Administration from Temple
University, and a Ph.D. from The Pennsylvania State University
in Agriculture and Extension Education. He enjoys working with
adults and students to expand their opportunities to grow and
learn while enjoying the journey.
His hobbies include a floral design, variety of
outdoor activities, travel, woodworking, writing, and enjoying
his family.
Warren and his wife, Elaine, have 5 children and
4 grandchildren.
