"The
Nifty-Fifty"

Ka

The Fifth Grade
class of the Kamehameha Schools Maui Campus proudly welcome you to our
webpage. We are excited about learning, and we want to let you know
about our class. Learning is a priviledge, and we are blessed to be
in a school which teaches academic excellence, the arts, athletics and
does so with Jesus Christ as our guide. Come with us as we journey through
our curriculum.
We're a team
of 48, not two classes of 24. We share in the education of
your child. Mrs. Annabel Saiki will teach Social Studies
, while Mr. Peter Winkler will teach Math. Each teacher will
have the pleasure of working with all 48 students as we prepare the
children for middle school. In addition to Mrs. Saiki and Mr. Winkler,
the children will have other teachers for Hawaiian Studies, P.E.,
Computers, Art, D.A.R.E. (Maui Police Department), Science, Music,
and Religious Studies.
Our classes will
be in our Pai'ea Building also known as the administration building.
How did we luck out? We're the Great 48 and we are in classrooms that
move us past elementary but not all the way to middle school, and
we have lockers too. We are the inbetween class
-too old to be called young and too young to be called old. S0 come
with us on our journey.
