PRECALCULUS with TRIGONOMETRY

Being enrolled in this class means that you have successfully completed Algebra 2. Congratulations!

Class meets either on ODDdates or on EVEN dates from your calendar for the entire school year. This course is one credit and grading is as follows:

A = 100% - 90%

B = 89% - 80%

C = 79% - 70%

D = 69% - 60%

F = 59% - 0%

Your grade is weighted into 3 categories. Classwork is worth 25%, homework is 25% of your grade and assessments have the most impact of 50%.

Classwork includes things such as journals, homework presentations, activities, and worksheets. Homework is typically work from your assigned textbook and worksheets. Assessments include things like written tests, group projects and portfolios.

Attendance is crucial to success, as most concepts in this course are things that you haven't seen in previous math classes. Late work is accepted if absences are excused by the school. You have up to 2 class days to make up the missed work. Please ask!

My goal is to cover precalculus and trigonometry topics such as data analysis, mathematical systems, sequences, vectors, probability, analytic geometry, conics, circular as well as trigonometric functions.

Always come to class prepared and ready to go! Basic materials are: pencil, paper, calculator, ruler, completed or fully attempted assignment, textbook (issued at the beginning of the school year) and an open mind!

Please keep this textbook in a safe place at all times. The replacement cost if it is damaged or lost is about $85.00!
