Ka Lei O Ka Lanakila is a collaborative effort between the Hawaii State Department of Education and Kamehameha Schools for teacher development in Hawaiian culture. Students in participating DOE schools attend the 4-week summer program and learn about their Hawaiian heritage. During this second year of the program, 30 middle schoolers were enrolled. The high light of the program is the overnight camp in Keanae.
