Bernadette
Reiter, Elementary School RN
"Nurse B" has been a nurse on Maui since 1988. She has
worked at Kaiser Permanente, Aloha Surgical Center, and most recently
Care Resource Hawaii. Mother of two teen-age girls she loves to
be with youth of all ages. She loves hiking, being in, on, and
under the water, and singing. After substituting in the health
rooms of all three campuses on Maui for four years, she is very
excited and happy to be part of the “first string”.

Malia
Song, Middle School RN
Malia is Part-Hawaiian, born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada but raised
in Honolulu. She is a graduate of Punahou High School on Oahu and
received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing at the University
of Hawai'i. Malia moved to Maui in 1991. She has over 20 years of
nursing experience which includes ICU, Cardiac Rehabilitation, Recovery
Room and Angiography. Malia has served Kamehameha Maui as the Middle
School Nurse since March of 2003 where she feels blessed to be able
to work in a Christian environment, serving Hawai'i's youth. She
is married and has 2 children who both attend Kamehameha Schools
Maui. |

Sue
Hardesty, High School RN
Sue moved to Maui in 1969 at the age of
13. She is a graduate of Seabury Hall in Makawao and received
a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing at the University of Portland
in Oregon. She has worked as a nurse for over 25 years in numerous
capacities including emergency care, family practice, and health
and wellness teaching. She came to KS Maui in August of 2002 to
become the Elementary School Nurse and migrated to the High School
in August of 2004. She feels her greatest achievement and delight
has been raising two sons who now are off at college in Oregon.
Her passions beyond helping others through being a nurse are spending
time with friends and family, traveling, and beach/ocean activities
especially kayaking. She lives in Kula on her family’s Protea
farm.
