The PTSO provides the manpower for the Annual Ho'olaule'a.
Each grade level is responsible for a specific area of the
event. The grade level Ho'olaule'a Chairs inform, and recruit,
the parents necessary to implement the assigned grade level
task. Ho'olaule'a 2009 will be held on April 18, 2009, 9:00
AM to 2:00 PM.
A Ho'olaule'a Kick Off Meeting is held in
the Fall and monthly meetings are held to inform and equip
the parent chairpersons to successfully fulfill the grade
level kuleana.
Food Training: Upon entering the school,
parents are expected to attend a one-hour Food Handling class.
Completion of this class is a requirement of KSM parents to
handle food. The class is required each time your student
enters a new campus. So, if your student enters at grade K,
you are expected to take the class as a Kindergarten parent,
as a Gr. 6 parent, and as a Gr. 9 parent. For those parents
coming in at other years, you are also expected to take the
class upon entering the school and to re-take the class when
your student moves to another campus.
Classes are conducted at Namahana Dining Hall. 6:15 - 8:00
PM
Thursday, Sept. 11; Wed, Oct. 15; Thursday Nov. 6; and Friday,
Feb. 6.
